 Product Description The VX-146 is the latest model in the Vertex Standard range of high quality, cost effective handheld transceivers for the European PMR446 service. The radio is manufactured with a strong polycarbonate case designed to withstand the knocks from everyday use in business, industry or recreational use. Special attention has been paid for example, by the designers to ensure that the tight seal between the battery case and the radio remains intact to protect the radio electronics when operating in a harsh environment. Features: Display/ Controls Clear backlight LCD display and 3 programmable function buttons for controlling selective calling, lamp and lock are included. Signalling Full CTCSS and DCS group and user selective calling features are available in the VX-146. Bell Ringer Tone The radio can be programmed to emit a bell ringer tone when a CTCSS tone or DCS signalling sequence being received matches with one programmed into the radio. ARTS Vertex Standard's unique trademarked 'Automatic Range Transpond System- ARTS' is fitted to the VX-146, enabling the user to know exactly when they are out of range from another suitably equipped ARTS transceiver. Programmable The VX-146 is PC programmable with the ability to configure all features and functions for downloading into the radio. PC configurations can be saved on the PC for security. The VX-146 can be very simply cloned in the field using the optional CT-27 clone cable, ensuring easy and rapid deployment if required.
