The HX421 is a VHF high band radio that has all the features and facilities of the HX420 / HX480 plus many more! Using HX421's you can have a one-to-one conversation with an individual person, call a group of persons or even call everyone at once. Just like a mobile phone you can see who is calling and use your contact list to call other radios. With a suitable base station you can even make telephone calls. Do you work at risk? No problem, the HX421 is fitted with a panic button and lone-worker feature to ensure your safety. The HX421 radios are VHF high band (138-174MHz) and there is also a version to cover the whole UHF band (403-470MHz) - the HX481. A huge range of accessories is available for the HX421's making them amongst the most versatile and cost effective radios in Europe today.

Allows hands free operation when used with a VOX accessory. This feature also incorporates auto VOX sensing which conveniently detects ambient noise level and automatically sets the optimum VOX threshold.

• DTMF - Using a suitable base station and DTMF you can make telephone calls with a HX421.
• Multiple receive ID's - This feature can allow you to be a member of multiple call groups.
• Scan & Priority Scan - If you have several channels the HX421 / HX481 can automatically scan them for activity.
• Stun & Un-stun - Should a radio be lost or stolen it can be stunned and if recovered un-stunned again.
• Password Access - Used to prevent unauthorised access to the radio.

Built In Voice Scrambler
Enabled at the press of a button this feature ensures privacy between you and other HX421 users in your radiosystem. Your radio calls will be loud, crisp and clear whilst potential eavesdroppers monitoring the same channel will hear unintelligible garble.

Lithium-Ion Battery Technology
The HX421 radios use the latest battery technology, which provides three main advantages: 1. Huge 12 hour duty cycle with supplied CNB400E battery pack. 2. Not prone to the dreaded memory effect that Ni-Cad and Ni-MH battery packs suffer from, therefore no more need to fully discharge your battery pack before charging. 3. Stores a charge up to 3 times longer than a Nicad.
